What is underneath the Renegade's hood?
Sport and Latitude models have a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine. It is an inline-4 with a six-speed manual transmission. For horsepower you can get 160 @ 5,500 rpm, and torque is 184 lb-ft @ 2,500-4,000 rpm. Both two- and four-wheel drive offer up to 31 mpg highway and 24 mpg city. A 2.4-liter inline-4 engine is available for the Sport and Latitude, but it is standard on the Limited and Trailhawk. That engine comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Horsepower and torque numbers are 180 @ 6,400 rpm and 175 lb-ft @ 3,900, respectively.
What is the Renegade's standard equipment?
First of all, the Renegade offers four trims: Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk. The base Sport has a six-way-adjustable driver's seat, an AM/FM radio with USB input, power windows and door locks, a rearview camera and 16-inch wheels. The Latitude has air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, fog lights and a seven-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system. The Trailhawk has standard four-wheel drive. The Limited and Trailhawk have a standard 2.4-liter engine.
