2018 Jeep Cherokee vs 2018 Honda CR-V near Manchester, NH

Are you stuck trying to choose whether you want the Jeep Cherokee or the Honda CR-V? In 2018 the Cherokee has updated the structure of its trims, while the CR-V has remained for the most part the same. Read on to learn differences between these two vehicles power and design features.

2018 Jeep Cherokee Power & Handling

Tow engine options are available to the Cherokee. Both engines are paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Two drivetrain options are available, either front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive also comes with the option of three systems. Both engines also have a maximum towing rate of 4,000 pounds.

2018 Honda CR-V Power & Handling

The CR-V comes with the option of two engines. These engines are both paired to a CVT automatic transmission and the choice of either front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive does not have additional systems to choose from for added benefits. Maximum towing capacity on both of the engines is 1,500 pounds.

2018 Jeep Cherokee Features & Design

Five trim levels are available to choose from, with each building off of the previous. The Trailhawk and Overland trims are both available with extra off-roading features. In fact, the Overland is over the top loaded with the latest in technological features too. As for safety, features that are not already included in the trims can be added on through specialized packages.

2018 Honda CR-V Features & Design

The CR-V comes with the choice of four different trim levels. While each trim adds to the next with a few more features, there are no options or packages that can be added for extras or customizations. What you see is what you get.

With the Honda, it is difficult to customize, go off-roading, or tow large loads. The Jeep, on the other hand, comes with a trail rated badge, additional packages and add-ons, and a much more powerful towing capability.
