About the All New 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel

For the 2014 model year, the other big story for the Grand Cherokee is a new eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that is standard on all models, replacing the previous five-speed transmission. The new EcoDiesel is equipped with a 3.0L turbodiesel V6, which yields up to 30MPG and generates 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Also available in the Grand Cherokee lienup are the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 (290 hp; 260 lb-ft of torque) and 5.7-liter V8 (360 hp: 390 lb-ft of torque).
The
new EcoDiesel, an Italian-built EcoDiesel V6 by VM Motori, offers
reduced emissions, and boasts an impressive 7,400-pound towing capacity
and notably better fuel mileage. Improved fuel economy was a
principle vision for the 2014 model
year. The EcoDiesel is available in the Grand Cherokee Limited and higher level trims.
Going inside the 2014 Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel, you will experience a luxury feel, and a welcome upgrade, with the addition of a Uconnect infotainment system. It's 8.4-inch center-stack screen fills console space, looks good and is intuitive to operate, through voice commands or steering wheel controls.
For off-road driving, the Selec-Terrain system has five driver-selectable terrain modes that correspond to potential conditions: Sand, Mud, Auto, Snow or Rock. Each setting electronically activates a combination of 12 different powertrain, brake and suspension settings to optimize traction and ground clearance.
